After nearly three months of my apparently not existing according to the U.S. Postal Service, I am back.

So far this week I have received all three missing issues of Game Informer, two three, now, packages, three "letters" (all from work), and the three missing bank statements. I can sleep easier now.

In the past almost-three months, exactly one package bearing my name has arrived (from Aniko!), and everything I've tried to send since late December has come back to me or simply disappeared into the void. (It is, therefore, a very good thing for me that I faxed in my BotCon registration form, yes?)

I'M SO HAPPY! MAIL WORKS AGAIN.

... Now I need to decide how much of this stuff I should bother to resend again, since two of these letters are dated from late November/December and some of them are Christmas cards. I'll probably send the two cards, since they were requested, but... Hrm. Hey, [livejournal.com profile] rionaleonhart, if you see this! I have a couple very old (and pointless, but it's not like I ever promised real content) letters that got homesick and so came back. (Or maybe they are afraid of flying?) Should I give them a pep-talk and try to send them again, or just throw them out?

Noobism threads always make me laugh. :D

Sometimes I relate to them, but mostly I'm glad I managed to avoid some of the really stupid mistakes (or, er, it could be that I've still not realized some of my own? I suppose that is entirely possible).

Also, best poll ever. why does /ninja always win?

ENTIRE PURPOSE OF THIS ENTRY? OMG! MY INTERNET IS STARTING TO FULLY WORK AGAIN! LOOK, I CAN ACCESS ALLAKHAZAM!

Fanfiction.net is back, too.

It still cuts me out occasionally, but it's generally much rarer (which is to say, it is not every thirty seconds).

I was talking to someone last night and it occurred to me, the cut out thing started about the time I started the SH/TF crossover, and it went away completely for the day or so that I spent writing the beginning and the end (that is, the time spent outside of or leaving the town), and now that I've almost entirely finished, it is fading away all together.

Freaky coincidence?

Well, I hope so, anyway.
My internet is not always the greatest. I know this. But I am beginning to wonder if my internet is the problem, because we've reset the router several times and I still can't get a couple sites to load. (Unfortunately for all of you, LiveJournal is obviously not one of these sites.)

The one that annoys me more is the Transformers-based forum I joined a while back. I feel kind of like a moron for joining and then disappearing, and, okay, odds of my posting much are slim, anyway, but I can't even check.

Allakhazam (my Final Fantasy XI resource and forums-center) won't come up, either, which is also upsetting. There's a new expansion - Wings of the Goddess - coming out next mo- it is November and November is the eleventh month, so THAT IS THIS MONTH in about seventeen days, apparently. I can hit the PlayOnline site for info, but it loads a lot slower...

Actually, I suppose now it loads faster, since it actually loads. Whatever. It still takes a while.

Anyway, I can't read the forums to see what people are talking about, or read the speculations et al, if I can't get to the forums. Sad-making.

Speaking of the expansion set... FFXI-ramblings )

Game babble aside, I kind of wish my internet would start working properly. I do not want it to be that the sites themselves are down! (I know Allakhazam is working because my brother reads it, too, so that's probably good news for The Padded Cell. Still...)

I wonder what other sites won't work. I only have seven sites I visit regularly, and those make up two of them. Hrm.

Edit: Transformers related.
There's a new video for the series coming out next year on YouTube (it can be found here). This video isn't exactly new (went up a day or two ago, but word travels fast on the internet and all), and it is not what I am about to mention.

The comments. I cannot stop laughing. Some people...! Though, I have to admit, on one level, it still surprises me that some people cannot grasp that the continuity reboots on occasion and that this Prime isn't G1 Prime (or even Movie Prime). I can't fault them too much, though, because they leave hilarious comments. (Though they also make my head hurt quite a lot. Laughing helps avoid pain, though.)

Edit II:
Aniko says The Padded Cell loads for her, so it is only my connection. Which is a good thing, but still extremely annoying.

I've been largely avoiding playing video games these days because my television's screen has been slanting down and to the left. It makes it hard to see parts of menus, or dialogue. Forget watching anything with subtitles because you'll miss ninety percent of the dialogue. It was a decent enough television (or perhaps I only think this because I saved my money and bought it myself)...

When my grandmother died (not quite a year ago), my father ended up with her television. It's larger than the one we'd had downstairs forever, with better sound quality, so we retired the old one. Dad decided last weekend that I could have the old television if he couldn't fix mine. Saturday saw the thing's guts all over the floor but no solution to the slanting. New TV for me.

Photo class is going miserably. My first role of film was eaten by the camera; I shot the roll then wound it up, but when I opened the back, none of the film had wound and, instead, the negatives had been split up the center. It was weird, but the teacher told me to just bring in two rolls for this week. Yesterday, I went it with my two rolls (both of which had wound properly) and ran them through the developing process (along with everyone else in the class, though most of them only had one role), but when we were finished and we pulled our film off the reels, mine were both completely blank. They hadn't even been exposed!

Right after class, I went up the mall to the camera repair shop. The people there couldn't see anything that would be wrong - the film was winding and advancing, the shutter was working, all that. They kept it overnight to dissect the thing and see if they could find any problem, but they called this afternoon and, nope. Nothing. Camera should, by all rights, be working. So no one knows what's going on. Maybe I'm just destined to flunk and/or drop out of photography. Feh.

The ads are staying. I'm going to make a few icons sometime soon. There will be terrible, terrible puns that I am already ashamed of. Cyclonus should just shoot me now and get it over with.
