Said in the earlier post that I'd probably play more today, and here it is. Not as long (plot-progression-wise) as the others, though there's some odd plot-musings near the bottom. Mostly me ranting about certain characters.

That said, I've kind of spammed LJ in the last twenty-four hours, so if you're expecting some kind of continuity, you're in the wrong place read this one first.

Jak II, part IV )

And, of course, the death list continues to be non-cumulative.

The racing death count is surprisingly low. )

That is all. Tomorrow (er, later today, really) I am going to make [livejournal.com profile] travelers_flame watch Top Gear, and then I am going to make her narrate her thoughts.

It's okay, really, she's agreed to it. None of that "against her will" stuff at this time. Never mind. ~_~;

Snow total is at just over three feet. There is no yardstick there was no car on the side of the driveway. The wall of snow at the end of the driveway is almost as tall as me (it had help from the snowplows going by all night). The cat tried to go out and got to the bottom step and... just kind of stood there looking confused for a long moment. Also it hurts my eyes to look out the window. It's like LOOK I AM WHITE AND I BURN YOUR RETINAS.

So, because I have nothing better to do on a day when I am snowed in, I - yes - played more Jak II. Possibly too much.

In which Jecca's mind is /utterly destroyed/. )

I probably should have seen that coming, too! I just... it doesn't... HOW FAR? When? I - arg - no. Arg. No.

They need to start explaining things now because otherwise I fear I am going to explode messily. Tifa gave Cloud some advice once. She told him to stop thinking. I think I am going to try and take that advice, too, right now.

Anyway, the death tally. Not cumulative.

Brain shutdowns not counted. )

Those camouflaged Metal Heads should not ever have been allowed to exist. Ugh.

Probably play more today, since we're still not going anywhere.
I have literally nothing to do on Mondays. I walked the dog, did my homework, and then... played more video games. I'm really rather glad I'm busy most other days, really, because I imagine I'd be rather insane were this the entirety of my life.

More deranged Jak II Ramblings. )

I have also been keeping a Death List for this game. I... currently seem to be dying a whole lot less, but this is probably because there are no islands of never-ending mist everywhere for me to fall into and die. Plus, there's still (probably) plenty of time to catch up. (I am actually enjoying keeping these Death Lists. I wonder if they're going to become a part of my game play, like the Ramblings have.)

Death for Jak II )

I got a package in the mail today from some friends over in California! They offered to pick up the Target-exclusive Ultra Magnus and Skywarp two-park for me (since there are no Targets in this state), and it came! Skywarp is... very, very pretty. Magnus is nice, too, of course, but I really love the jet-mold they have, and black and purple just look great together. mm, pretty. ^_^

We are supposed to get a huge storm either tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm hoping it comes in either Tuesday evening after I am home or Wednesday evening after I am home, because either way that allows plenty of time for the snowplows and sand trucks to get out before I have to try to drive in it all.
I won! \o.o/

My reaction was something along the lines of;

If that pole falls on me I'm going to - AUGH - oh, it's in the Dark Eco. HA! So there! bwaha! heheee....eh? .... bweh? ...What the frag was that? (regarding that utterly bizarre victory dance on the moving platform)

Then I mostly laughed and watched until after the credits when they had to open the door with 100 Power Cells. GO INTO THE LIGHT! Then I decided that whatever was in the glowing light was... a sequel! Of course, I am right, but that is beside the point. I also apparently said that out loud (and loudly), because my cat woke up and looked at me funny.

Anyway, back to this mess...

Death List part III - still not cumulative )

And because I am a very, very strange individual...

Total Death List )

I missed one Power Cell (never backtracked after releasing the Yellow Eco) and 124 orbs. I might go pick up the Power Cell but even I am not insane enough yet to want to go through and find every single --- .... I'm going to go do that now, aren't I? Slag. I said I wasn't going to try for 100% on Kingdom Hearts II, too, and, okay, I'm not there yet, but only because it is IMPOSSIBLE to put up all of those posters in less than 30 seconds. (My best time is 31.something seconds.)

Maybe I can start II when I get back from work tonight! Yay! How sad is my life that I get excited over coming home from work to play video games? Especially one that will undoubtedly involve me killing myself HUNDREDS OF TIMES OVER because I am directionally impaired. (I am not complaining.)

... This morning, my father told me that if he didn't know better, he'd think I had someone over last night and the night before, because he could hear me talking to someone. Now, I've been told before that I talk to my video games (and TV shows), but this was a first. If even my father's noticing it... huh. I need to find a way to record myself playing something. (I have no recollection of talking to these games. Apparently, when I play Ecco games - Ecco's a dolphin - I start chirping like a dolphin. I'm fairly certain this isn't what normal people would call sane.) I'm terribly curious as to what I'm telling the game characters.
I often close the bakery alone, so sometimes it takes me a minute or two to either notice there's someone at the counter or for me to be able to actually go over and help them. Often when I ask if they need anything, the answer is "No, thanks." I will tell them that if they do need anything to just call out because I will be right over there behind those cases and will run right over, and then we all go about our lives.

It frustrates me to no end, then, when fifteen minutes later someone from another section of the store walks over and tells me I have a customer in need of assistance and I go over to find the same person standing there looking annoyed at me.

I asked if you needed anything! I told you to call me if you changed your mind! HOW IS THIS MY FAULT? I CANNOT READ YOUR MIND. arg.

...and then I get home to find out that YouTube hates everyone and took away much of Top Gear. awjkseugd bngghkliopf;,bjh blarg

Edit:
Played more Jak. Am now farther along than I had been before and the game is still working. Spiffy.

Death List part II - not cumulative )

This amuses me. I will have to keep doing it. :D
Got caught watching Top Gear last night. Not to say that's a problem. Mostly I was amused by her reaction - "They're really doing this!?" (The longer version of that sentence is probably, "They're really actually doing this? This isn't special effects in a studio? That guy was really in that crash?!")

(Then I made her get a journal. By 'made' I mean, she wanted to so I helped set it up, because I can at least figure out how to customize LJ, if nothing else. I am a Master of Useless Skills.)

So, started re/playing Jak and Daxter and... y'know, it's been a while since I've played a game set up like this, so I'd kind of fogotten both how much fun they are and how much I completely cannot play them. I am the master of death!

Death list! )

The worst/best part is that dying in this game amuses me so much that I have no real motivation to stop dying.

...Sunny randomly fell over. Sideswipe moved, too, but remained upright, so I'm going to blame it on him. Chalk it up to revenge for the week Sunstreaker spent looming over his head when I stood him on the PS2. (What I don't understand is how he managed to fall backwards without taking Bluestreak down with him.)

And I finally got around to in-joke-ifying my interests list. Now it makes even less sense!

...And Otakon seems to have fallen through. Fragger! arg.
