So, I was on the Green Eco Cup when I stopped the other day. ... Well, just starting the Green Eco Cup races. Only 3 medals to be earned in this one? Hm. Or only three currently available? That seems much more likely.
Ah, yeah. Only three currently available. Only one race option at all, actually. Beachfront drive through the Wastelands. Fun? ONLY IF THERE AREN'T ANY MARAUDERS SHOOTING AT ME ALONGSIDE EVERYONE ELSE.
Neither of my new cars are as powered up as my old ones were. I miiiiss them, but I can't use them in these races. Sorrow!
Mrg. Everyone else's vehicles are still super-fast. I'm going to lose this quite badly.
OH ALSO. There is Torn again. In the back. But not dead last! ... Because that's me. I'm returning to the menu and buffing up this car after I lose this round. (Okay, I came in third. That's not so bad.) And, actually, Torn and Ashelin appear to have swapped places. Now he's blowing me up all the time and she actually came in last, which is ... quite different.
Maybe the time he spent away was time spent practicing...

.... Sometimes I sit here an awfully long time waiting for the last racer to cross the finish line. Torn just took a full minute (+1 second) longer than I did... ouch. Ashelin in fifth at 2:57:39, and then Torn at 3:56:68. They are so lucky they have me, AND DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW AWFUL IT IS THAT I HAVE TO SAY THAT.
(Well, if you've read the other ramblings... yes, probably, you do.)
Of course, I did hit him - being Torn - with a level 2 Super Nova, which knocked him from first to last, but that doesn't account for the other fifty seconds...

Bwaha. Much as I positively loathe being hit with a peace maker seconds before the finish line, I adore being able to peace maker everyone else seconds before the finish line. That was beautiful timing.
Actually, about peace maker blasts: I outsmarted one. WOOT! See, they target and kill whoever's in lead, no questions asked. A stroke of inspiration (born of desperation) hit me and, when I saw the target-lock zeroing in on me, I hit the brakes and let the guy behind me pull into the lead.
The peace maker blast switched targets and left me alone. \o/
Now, that won't help on the level 2 blasts. Those still zero in on the leader, but they also take a swipe at anyone they pass between the shooter and the leader (lovely when you're the one shooting them off, because you can clear everyone ahead of you, but they really suck when someone else has it). But the level 2 blasts are rare, so I'm not too worried about those. I think they've only hit me twice thus far.

Bwaha. Much as I positively loathe being hit with a peace maker seconds before the finish line, I adore being able to peace maker everyone else seconds before the finish line. That was beautiful timing.
Actually, about peace maker blasts: I outsmarted one. WOOT! See, they target and kill whoever's in lead, no questions asked. A stroke of inspiration (born of desperation) hit me and, when I saw the target-lock zeroing in on me, I hit the brakes and let the guy behind me pull into the lead.
The peace maker blast switched targets and left me alone. \o/
Now, that won't help on the level 2 blasts. Those still zero in on the leader, but they also take a swipe at anyone they pass between the shooter and the leader (lovely when you're the one shooting them off, because you can clear everyone ahead of you, but they really suck when someone else has it). But the level 2 blasts are rare, so I'm not too worried about those. I think they've only hit me twice thus far.
