My Walls Are BLUE
I'm in the process of cleaning and redecorating my room... More the latter at this point, really. I have pulled all of the posters and pictures and, well, everything from about a third of my room so far and the result is... bleak, I suppose.
(It is the area around my desk, for those of you familiar with my room. The desk is also sadly undecorated. I went slightly berserk this afternoon and pitched everything across the room onto my bed.)
All I have over there is the television (which I can't really move, as it is very heavy), the Playstation 2 (which is hooked into the television and the wall and not worth the effort of unplugging. It is also tucked nicely away under the television, so), the wall clock (again, not worth the effort of removing), and my DVD and video game collections (they were removed, but have since been put back in their usual places, though rearranged a bit. For example, the Final Fantasy XI install sets have been - first off, found, and secondly - placed on the DVD shelf, as they take up too much room to go on the game shelf, which is basically full). THAT'S IT.
Wait, lie. I just went and put the mini supplies-cabinet on the shelf above the games. I think I will stack my notebooks next to it, when I am done. That actually looks very nice. Also, I put my wooden dolphin statue at the end of the DVDs, in hopes of it keeping them from sliding off the end onto the floor or something.
I TOOK DOWN MY DOLPHIN POSTER. THAT HAS BEEN UP FOR... uh. ABOUT TEN YEARS. AAAAUGH. (It is going back up very soon.)
There was a dead spider (it had been flattened) behind one of the smaller posters. I do not know how it got there or how it died, since I don't go around pressing my posters flat on the off chance that there are spiders behind them. That would be too much work, and also might just scare the spider into running out into the open, which I do not want.
There is a spot of missing paint in another place.
There are a lot of holes from when Dad insisted I use a thumbtack to hang up my calendar. (I would, of course, have to pull it out and then stick it back into the wall whenever I flipped the page.) About a year ago, Mom let me secretly take a hammer and a nail and make a permanent calendar-catcher by my bed. This works so much better, even though once a MASSIVE PARSON SPIDER AUGH (well, massive as far as parson spiders go) popped out from behind it when I went to write my work hours on it. I smushed him. He was messy. x_x
I am not sure how much stuff I will end up putting back. I plan on swapping a lot of the posters. I have some nice assorted anime, Final Fantasy and Transformers posters, as well as a few wallscrolls, as well as just general images stuff, that I've been thinking about putting up, but just the light blue is nice, too. (And even then, Mom wants to repaint this room soon, and I'll probably be moving out in a few months, anyway, so why bother decorating much?)
... When did I start liking blank walls? I know I underwent a bit of a drastic personality shift a couple years back, but seriously, what the heck?
Also, Vermont Toy and Hobby has some really, really pretty posters of the solar system and nebulas and stuff. I might buy some of those to put up, instead.
For my desk... I am definitely going to put a few Alternators back. Mirage for sure, at least until I'm done writing about it. Probably Jazz, Prowl, and Red Alert. Maybe the twins and Silver/Bluestreak. Whoever that guy is.
Though Tracks is too pretty to leave out, and I like Wheeljack and Rodimus too much, and if I ever finish my customs, I'm going to want to put them out, as well. And if they're all out, I may as well leave out the other half, too.
... Clearly I love my Alts too much and just need a shelf for them.
Mirage is a definite, though. I like to tinker with him when I get stuck on a sentence. He can go under the video game shelf, along with whoever else I leave out.
I will put Leviathan and the Moomba on the video game shelf. I'm not sure if I'll leave out any of my little Final Fantasy characters. It's a bit annoying since wave 2 was on a different scale than wave 1, so Selphie dwarfs Rinoa. It's not so bad with Tidus and Yuna, since he's bigger than she is, anyway, and Rikku's sitting down, so, again, not as noticeable. Sephiroth just looks pathetic, though, and I think Tifa is bigger than both him and Cloud.
I like the two Vincents being out and back to back, so maybe them.
I don't know if I'll put my three mini-ships (Titanium Ark, the Axalon, and the Darksyde) by the television, or what. That's where Heroes of Cybertron Rodimus has been since I got him... But I want the ships out because they are nifty.
And Big Squall and Big Rinoa will probably sit on the corner, because DUDE THEY ARE AWESOME. Unless I find room on my dresser for them, which is entirely possible. Then they can go stare at Vincent and wonder who the freak in the red cape is. (Vincent still repositions himself every few days. It still really weirds me out!)
I have no idea what to do with HUGE Kimahri, but that's not really new. He is still huge, he is still taking up space. I could take him downstairs and announce he is the new doorstop, I suppose. I still do not understand why that thing was given to me. I did and do appreciate the thought, but...
I might put Primus (in planet-mode) on top of the television. He is entirely too awesome to pack away.
Oh, God, I still need to empty out the bookshelf on the end of the desk. HELP.
...By the way, this level (see music)? WORST LEVEL EVER, OH GOD.
HERE, ECCO. TURN INTO A SCHOOL OF FISH AND THEN SWIM THROUGH A MAZE FULL OF HUNGRY DOLPHINS WHO CAN SWIM THROUGH WALLS (P.S. YOU CANNOT) AND DON'T GET EATEN. HAHAHAHAAGOD I HATE THE ATLANTEANS.
Them and their stupid time machine. AUGH.
It's really a good thing that Fish City is nearly the last level (and that the Vortex larvae kill you in one hit), because you never want to eat a fish again after that. It's horrible. It is so horrible.
(Jecca, if it makes you so angry, why do you listen to it? Because it is pretty. Shut up.
Besides, Defender of the Future's soundtrack is next, and it is gorgeous, even when it is making me twitch. Why didn't they ever market this stuff? Everyone should listen to it!)
