Just In Case I Had Forgotten.
Yeah, nothing quite like an hour long session of being ranted at by your father to remind you of exactly how you've failed as a daughter and as a student and as a human being in general, of where half of your social and emotional problems come from, of how you're hopeless and useless and completely broken.
Well, I remember why I decided feeling blank half the time was the way to go, though it wasn't as if I'd forgotten. Emotional manipulation doesn't work on me the same way it used to when I was eight, father. Remember?
