Day 3: road trippin'
HAD MY MRI now my arm hurts from the needle, which is unusual for me, but then they're usually not putting that much crap into my arm when I get stabbed. SALINE SOLUTION, why do you make my mouth taste weird? HEY. How come everyone tells you all about how claustrophobic it'll be, but no one mentions the damned NOISE? That was way worse, in my opinion.
SO DAY THREE IS TRAVEL. What about it? Well. It is a thing. TRAVELING! Are you a traveling man, make a lot of stops all over the world? Do you own the heart of at least one lovely girl in every part? because if so that's kind of a dick move there bro.
I like to travel! I think it is BEST. And if I did not have to work for monies, I would travel. SO MUCH. I will go into hypothetical traveling later in the month, though.
GOING PLACES, though, it is totally fun! You can see really cool things! You can try super amazing foods! Most of the best food I have ever had in my life has been food I have had while traveling. You can meet COOL PEOPLE! Guys. Cool people are the actual best thing. We all need lots of cool people in our lives.
Traveling can be kind of a pain, though. Here in the USA, at least, if you want to fly somewhere, oof. They've got a bit better about the security circus, but it's still exhausting. Trains aren't always convenient, but if you ever get the change to distance travel by train, I seriously cannot recommend it enough. You WILL be swaying when you finally get off, though, fair warning. But you get to sit and watch so much stuff go by, and it's so, so awesome. I've twice taken the train across the country, once through the middle and once through the more northern states, and both times it was such a fantastic experience.
I don't know which is better, traveling by yourself or traveling with people. By yourself, you can do pretty much whatever you want, yes, and I've definitely done a bit of it, going places by myself and exploring whatever I want. But with someone else, you get the benefit of company that is familiar, and maybe you'll do things you hadn't planned on, or that you wouldn't want to do alone. You can egg each other on and have SUPER ADVENTURES that make for great stories. I know I, at least, when I travel alone, tend to end up sticking to myself. When I travel with another person, I usually don't withdraw into my antisocial cocoon. (USUALLY. There are exceptions.)
Traveling by yourself can be really scary, actually, especially the first time or two. I was totally freaking out in the days leading up to my trip to Ohio back in 2008.
MY PAST TRAVELS I don't know, I've mostly written about those already, it'd feel weird revisiting them, since most of them are already here. But Mexico was damn awesome. I wish there wasn't such a drug war down there. MEXICO. You could be SO MUCH BETTER THAN THIS. :(
SOMEDAY I WILL TRAVEL BY BOAT like a cruise or something. 'Cause I've only done a single overnight, going between Italy and Greece way back whenever. 2003? Must've been.
BASICALLY TRAVELING IS AWESOME AND EVERYONE SHOULD DO IT also come visit me we can have fun eating food and being idiots.
I'm sorry, that was so incoherent. YOU DESERVED BETTER,
tainry I don't feel well and I'm in pain and I'm tired.
