my goodness, it's snowing!
THE WORLD HAS ENDED THE WORLD HAS ENDED
Related, hee, this amused me: I'm visiting my parents', Mom came to pick me up yesterday. The power went out early, early in the morning, so when she'd woken up, it was dead silent. So quiet. So dark. So of course her first thought was, wait, is the apocalypse actually here?? (It was a major outage. Lasted over seven hours and covered a massive area.)
(It was kind of hilarious and also annoying, see, our router at my apartment is dead, so we have no internet, so I was like, yay! I can check my email while I'm at home! BUT NO, POWER OUTAGE. Though obviously it came back on.)
Though then as we were driving home, oh, look! A little rainbow is trying to appear! It was just faint on the horizon, but we had to make a pit stop for groceries and to mail a few things, and as we got back on the road - whoa! It had burst out and it was bright and bold and full spectrum and everything. There was a faint double, as well, and it was so pretty and, frankly, bewildering. Shortest day of the year and we managed to get such a vibrant rainbow. Also Mom was listening to the radio and The Messiah was playing and she had A Moment and nearly burst into tears. Aaaaand then the rainbow followed us the entire way home (uh, wow), and at one point we drove between the two arches. It was really weird, but also really awesome.
Anyway, I've been playing inFamous despite having some bad associations with it. I am kinda sick of letting certain events haunt my life so I am trying to get over it, it's just too exhausting. The story is kind of, what? I accidentally called one of the major plot twists, damn it, I have to stop doing that. Possibly I have called more but I haven't reached the reveal yet, who knows. And I hate most all of the characters, but oh my god the gameplay is fantastic and I have spent so, so much time just jumping all over the place and climbing walls and skating along wires and stuff. AMAZING. SO MUCH FUN. See, guys? All you have to do is tell me something is an awesome platformer. THAT IS ALL IT TAKES. (Well, in this case it was Baco telling me it is like Sly Cooper but without the silly, but GAMEPLAY, so here I am.) Awesome.
And then whenever I finish this, I am hoping to finally get around to Fall of Cybertron because I've only had it since release, gosh.
(THIS ENTRY WAS GOING TO BE ABOUT MY ADVENTURE TO CHICAGO BUT SOMEONE WAS AN IDIOT AND LEFT HER CAMERA IN NEW YORK AND IT HASN'T ARRIVED BACK YET BECAUSE THE PERSON WHO HAS IT IS BUSY AND DIDN'T GET IT MAILED UNTIL TODAY.) I am a moron.

I'd also love to hear your thoughts on that thing you totally weren't invited to by Square, incidentally.
(KINGDOM HEARTS RE:CODED HAS THE MOST ATROCIOUS PLATFORMING OF ANY GAME EVER.)

If only those who were invited and been allowed to take and post screenshots, I'm sure I'd be finished gathering some links by now and in the process of putting together an entry. But as it is, I simply cannot tell to you watch this space or this one. ('cause srsly what does hisi have to do with anything?)
(I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS GAME IS ALLOWED TO EXIST. UGH. Also I've lost my DS and I'm not sure if it was on purpose to save myself from it or by accident in a terrible-game-fueled rage. Whoops.)
