I guess this is the month for people announcing they have Dreamwidth accounts or something. Since I haven't done as much yet --> here I am over there. (Fair warning: I haven't officially migrated yet, and it never updates. Though I will probably import soon, and then I'll have to. At least I already suffered through figuring it all out!)

I also just added it to my profile info, so. Whee?

I can abandon it because it keeps doing stupid shit, their folk in charge laugh at us when we tell them we don't like changes they've made (http://rionaleonhart.livejournal.com/324085.html?thread=11409653#t11409653), and also I admit it the DDoS attacks, while not LJ's fault, are really, really annoying.

Oh, my god, Dreamwidth is the easiest thing in the world. You can even import everything directly from your LJ (as I've done, and as most people do). Lots of people, not yet, though the numbers go up every time LJ fucks up, and they've had free account creation available over the holidays, which has also helped (normally you need an invite code, like LJ used to use). Most of the people who use DW crosspost entries back here to LJ.

Beats me. I already have all my journals backed up over there. I guess if they let you create an account, it's still free. XD

It's still free I made an account now to figure out what I want to do... is it easy to post there and to lj? looking around I did see a lot of LJ users uploading thier stuff there

I crosspost now, no problem. Once you link your LJ account (which is easy, this should be the link you need (http://www.dreamwidth.org/manage/settings/?cat=othersites)), all you have to do it hit the "crosspost" box when you go to update. (You can even import your friendslist!)
