jecca_mehlota: (Better to burn out)

AAAAAA

WHAT HAVE YOU JUST DONE TO ME, SUPERNATURAL.

30 Days of Video Games

Day 27 - Most epic scene ever.

For "epic" I'm more going with "totally awesome!" than anything else. And for "scene" I am using "cutscene."

So, with no context, this scene is, in fact, spoiler-free. There are no plot elements. It's just three morons not completely trying to kill each other.

HELLS YES.

(In an interesting twist, the two current highest-rated comments are actually good!)

(Also, okay, what the hell, Sephiroth's eyelashes ought to be classified as weapons in their own right. They could, I am sure, kill a man. HOW DOES HE BLINK? SERIOUSLY LOOK AT THIS. I bet it's really, really uncomfortable when one sticks him in the eye. In fact, possibly that is the real cause of him burning down Nibelheim and trying to smash the world. THERE HE IS, reading science books, fun, fun, when, AAAAUGH EYELASH. And he can't get it out. Cue psychotic break.)

(So, I think my favourite part is actually around 1:12, when Genesis comes spinning down and Sephiroth just pings him off, sends him flying, like he's nothing – always makes me giggle. Though watching them destroy the Sister Ray like that is also pretty impressive. …Though the use of "One-Winged Angel" doesn't entirely make a lot of sense, since, uh, no wing/s yet. BUT WHATEVER.)

OKAY.

Now some very, very minor spoilers:
If that scene confuses you in places, well – they are not actually sitting on the Sister Ray. When the 2nd Class SOLDIERs were out, those three would sneak into the training room and… trash the place, apparently. So it's not real. It's an artificial environment! Which is why Angeal warns Genesis that he'll destroy them all (DON'T BRING DOWN THE BUILDING, YOU IDIOT), and why, after Genesis destroys Angeal's sword and accidentally gets his shoulder nicked, they are suddenly standing in a room that has been half-destroyed. (Actually, here's a slightly longer, more spoiler-y version, with bits from before and after the above cutscene, which… basically says exactly what I've just typed, but with voice acting. HOW EXCITING.)

SO I AM HAVING A STRANGE DAY, emotionally-speaking. I feel a bit like I am lagging, like someone says or does something and there is this bizarre pause between when they say [whatever] and when I respond to [whatever]. Is this the pills? It is probably the pills. I don't like this. It's like my brain has to think of how to respond to things rather than just doing it.

I saw a gray, fluffy cat sitting in a window on my walk home and stopped and stared for a creepy amount of time, but it was almost 9, so I did not bother the people, but it made me really sad.

o_o... I forgot how cool that scene was. I just remember being way too involved in the game and staring at everything. This almost makes me want to play it again but.. the sobbing wouldn't be fun ...

Watch select bits of it on YouTube. That is what I do sometimes!

Hum... I may do that :D
