My brother's chocobo made me cry today.
Anyway, combat racing. Convenient thing about racing games: when you are studying for a chemistry test and need a fifteen minute break, you can run a race or two and be completely satisfied that you've accomplished something, and still have time to go grab a glass of water or something to eat.
Right! Sport hunt! I have to kill more targets than everyone else, but this time the targets aren't everyone else!

I would not have won that round if I'd blown up twice on account of a Super Nova backfiring on me. Only one more left now! Yay, another run on the Spargus City track! I like this one. It's easy. Though, sadly, this is the last of the Spargus races, if the medal counts are anything to go by. No more blank slots to fill after this.
Ooh, and it's another death race. I wonder how many I'll need this time. ... Okay, not that many, but it's still a bit difficult because this track is sooo looooong, so it's harder to build up laps for points multipliers. Heh, I only completed one full lap. Second try went much better! 223/180! (The trick to these, which I so rarely remember to do, is to just keep R1 held down, so you're constantly firing, even if it's just with the standard gun your car comes with.) ... (Statements you never really expect to use: the standard gun your car comes with. I think I need to start calling them vehicles again.)

Being hit by someone else's attacks or blowing up cancels the power bar, but just hitting walls or putting on the breaks (so long as you keep R2 down) doesn't. .... Ashelin's very good at this. 21, which is 5 more than the second place score.
And now I've got a new racetrack! (They, uh. They've been unlocking these periodically. I don't think I've actually mentioned that yet. Er. Yes.) This one is the stadium where combat racing started. It is the Mar Coliseum. .....bleargh.
And this one is, unsurprisingly, a deathmatch. ... Okay, Sig, anyone who cheers when they get hit - non critical, anyway - is awesome, but you knew you were awesome anyway.

BROTHER INVASION. He came in to tell me he hit 68 in FFXI last night but was distracted by Jak taking a mine to the face and exploding. I offered him a round of racing. He accepted! Then he got stuck on an obstacle and was going to walk off, so I pulled out of the race, boosted the vehicle's speed and acceleration again, and told him to try again. He didn't want the sewers, but that's the only one aside from the forest time trial one I've gotthat I haven't tried yet shut up. He tried again, and won! He also died seven times, but whatever. Not like I usually do much better.
Right, so. What is a Rush Hour race? LET'S FIND OUT! Ah, Sig will tell us in the little voice-description! I need to run into things! AWESOME. Probably want defense for this one. Howler 99, it is!

I took second in the first event, which was in Kras. The second event is in Spargus. Fantastic! I know this one like the back of my hand! (BOOYAH! UR-86 came in last! That's gonna hurt him a lot.) I'm currently at the top, with 18 points, which is six more than the guy below me, but that's no excuse for becoming overconfident. I could still lose in the next round. The third and final event is in - oh geez my hands are shaking adrenaline adrenaline adrenaline - oh thank god it's not the loading docks. I know we did Kras already, but, you know... It's the Icelands! Yay! ... and only one lap. ...Potentially less yay?
