iiiiiiiiit's a small world

I really need to finish unpacking (I AM MOSTLY DONE OKAY), but instead I have spent today jumping through hoops and navigating menus over the phone! It has been kind of a pain! But I have finally secured flights to and from Pasadena for this summer, yaaay!

So then it was on to Chicago! Which was still stressing me out because everything I know about Chicago is that THEY HAVE AN AIRPORT AND I HAVE HAD PLANE TRANSFERS THERE AND ALSO THEY USED TO SELL RETIRED BEANIE BABIES AT ALL THE SHOPS (hey, that was important information for a thirteen year-old who wanted all the cats). Whoo? And trying to figure out things about public transportation and ... uh, well, everything, basically, for a city I am completely unfamiliar with is hard (I am totally useless at decoding rail maps, and most of the public transport I'll be using is RAIL!, so it tells me the blue line, aka the one that runs to the airport, stops at [station x] and so then I have to go find out where that is, and then compare it to all the hotels I've been looking at and then I also have to check all the hotels for transportation to the middle of downtown and basically I get confused and then frustrated) and I am whiny. And then, haha, I was complaining about it over AIM (as you do) and it turns out one of the people I know from FFXI, who currently lives in New York, is originally from Chicago, so now I have a pretty good idea of what is what, and thus what I am doing! And so I am going to make hotel arrangements and buy my transportation tickets (probably more plane, ugh) later tonight! Right now I am still looking at price information. Man, I should'a gone off over AIM weeks ago. (I AM SO EXCITED FOR JUNE YOU GUYSSSS. IT'S WHEN ALL THE AWESOME STUFF HAPPENS. ...OH MAN, two months from today I will already be back home from BotCon. Wow, haha, it's weird to think of things that way.)

MEANWHILE, IN UNPACKING NEWS, I have unpacked ... most everything I will be able to for now! My desk did not fit as nicely as I'd have liked, so it was sent home to live in the attic for now, and I am going to have to track down a new desk! (Though I already have two potential ones which I could have, so it is more a matter of making a choice.) But my desk held a lot of my stuff, like my art supplies and important papers and all my writing utensils and also my PS2 and Dreamcast and TV and computer! So most all of that stuff is still sitting around in boxes!

But my books and video games (okay, okay, this is exciting, I have a shelf solely dedicated to video game stuff now and it is SO AWESOME) and DVDs and CDs and miscellaneous computer supplies and clothing are all unpacked and put nicely away! And so are ALL THE ROBOTS. And so is most of my food! Kitchen supplies are still boxed 'cause we're going to all go through them and pull out what we need and rebox what we've already got and then send it to the basement. We just have not had time for it yet.

MAN, WHAT A BORING ENTRY. I started playing Dissidia 012 the other night, I will probably start posting about that soon. LESS BORING?

Edit:
ALL BOOKED WOOHOO!

Also, I am so proud. My brother is ranting at me about his classmates' comma usage (or lack thereof). WE DO BELIEVE IN THE OXFORD COMMA. WE DO, WE DO, WE DO.
