I tried to get some shots to show both the pattern and the FUZZY on it. (It will never stop amusing me that someone thought this was a great idea for a silk tie.)










And here is my mother posing with the tie on Perrywinkle's Facebook page. Wheeha! (As you can see, though, the one on FB does not quite do it justice. You can barely see the fuzzy.)



(More random notes about the tie: my father has worn it to several important occasions just to annoy his mother. He also wore it to her funeral! He used to want to be buried in it, but now he's okay with just having a viewing wit him wearing it or something, so that the tie can continue on assaulting eyes and senses of decency.)

Oh, my goodness, that's magnificent. I can't believe someone actually went 'well, it's a great tie, but it doesn't look enough as if it's been dragged through a pile of moulted fur'.

...So would you say the person who designed that tie succeeded or failed?

Because on the one hand, it's a crime against god and man that such a thing can assault the senses of innocent people.

On the other hand, once viewed, there's no chance you'll ever forget it - and it's been worn! Thus fulfilling a tie's true and only purpose.
