Who is not going to work today on account of freaking nasty weather?
LOTS OF PEOPLE.
I am included in that lots amount, though. I called to say, "Hey, er, gonna be late. Like, real late," (we have to clear the driveway, which'd take at least an hour, and then I'd need at least an extra half-hour to get there, which means I need to be leaving about now to have any hope of getting there by 10:30, except the driveway's not cleared yet) and they told me to not bother trying because they want to close early and all go home because it gets too much worse. It is messy and awful out there.
Not as bad as the Valentine's Blizzard (and I don't think we'll get three feet from this), but it is not fun out there. Wind is whipping all around and in circles, so we have snow piled on all the windows all four sides of the house and the driveway has patches or almost-bare ground and places where it's a foot deep (or more).
We are going to light a fire and be warm downstairs. I dunno what else we'll do, but we will be warm, which is enough to make me happy.
