So, Aniko and I beat Silent Hill 2 a bit earlier this evening...

I just went looking for the Chibi Silent Hill comic to show it to her, and... and it appears to be gone. The artist has left DeviantART (or, wait, was banned? SOMETHING. NOT THERE, ANYWAY).

My Google-Fu is weak. Does anyone know if it's up anywhere, or must I be content with only my icon as a reminder? (The solo LJ entry DA points you to gives nothing.)



In utterly unrelated news, I found this amusing. Aniko's been browsing around for Jak fanfic (having ignored my warning that the fandom is largely full of unreadable self-inserts and/or stories featuring dragons for whatever reason), and she said she had one she had to show me. Meanwhile, I was looking up Save Point: Hell Is Repetition to throw it at her, since we'd just completed the labyrinth. Ficlink swap?

Bizarrely, the one she wanted to throw at me had a fairly similar premise. Also it was preceded by, "Have you heard of Riona?"

SO I DUNNO WHAT THAT SAYS, rionaleonhart, but three and a half years later, people are still finding and reading your stuff on the apparently mostly dead jak_fanfics...

I am glad she enjoyed it! I am terribly embarrassed by anything I wrote prior to 2006, so my reaction to people reading it is often 'OH NO', but some of my favourite stories have been taken down because the author was embarrassed by them (I'm looking at you, thebaconfat), so I try to bear in mind that most of my old fanfiction is probably not actually the worst thing ever.

I think the funny (funny? sad? not funny, exactly, but, uh. words are failing) thing about people taking things down out of embarrassment is that it's never the people anyone thinks should actually be embarrassed by it...

It probably doesn't help (I'M NOT TRYING TO MORTIFY OR HORRIFY YOU I SWEAR), and I fail pretty epically at commenting anywhere - especially lately - but I've quite liked what I've read of your older stuff, so yay for leaving it up!
