jecca_mehlota: (Just say no.)

NO.

I DO NOT WANT TO GO TO WORK TODAY.

IT IS BLACK FRIDAY.

I WANT TO STAY HOME AWAY FROM THE CRAZY PEOPLE.

My hope is that everyone will be too busy spamming (haha, what? How was I going to finish this sentence? Spamming the stores with themselves?) attacking each other in WalMart and Best Buy and wherever else people go today to come and swarm my bread display, but people always have time to Zerg the bread, so I am not holding out much hope.

I'm still not feeling too great, which doesn't exactly help.

END OF WHINY ENTRY.

Edit:
And then I come home and, hey, you know what? Looking over the news? At least no one at my store died. Dear Lord, humanity.

Dear Lord, humanity.

I can't remember the last time I felt so disgusted with our whole consumerist society! Bleh.

I think the worst part is how people refused to leave the Wal-Mart even after being told someone had been killed. 'No, I've been waiting since yesterday!' WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU. DX

(Though, you know, there is no excuse for being so desperate to get inside for TEH DEALZ that you break down the door/frame and then stampede over someone in the first place abhfghkekr how why)

I can't imagine the deals were even that good, but seriously, even if they were giving away free money who's going to step over a trampled corpse on the floor to get it??

Did your work day go alright, at least?

You wouldn't think so. Man, I don't know, I don't get it at all. People become so rabid over the idea of Black Friday... I will never understand the society I live in.

Work was actually mercifully quiet. Everyone was out raiding the stores for flatscreen televisions or whatever, I guess, so there wasn't some insane rush of customers. (Of course, then on Saturday they all remembered they'd been a whole 24 hours without buying more bread, so they all came rushing in and bought EVERYTHING and it was absolutely insane, but you win some you lose some I guess.)
