I survived ME.

Maine is back to being a place where I am not! Exciting day. Except not really? We got off late (of course, of course) and I drove for like four hours (which is a long time to be driving, okay), then my father finished the last leg, and he and my mother got irritable about my directions to Aniko's house. WHAT IS LEFT. WAIT IS SAYS ABOUT FIFTEEN MINUTES AFTER THE TOWN THERE IS A POST OFFICE, DOES THAT MEAN FIFTEEN MINUTES AFTER THE TOWN OR FIFTEEN MINUTES AFTER THE POST OFFICE (seriously, what? Fifteen minutes after the town means exactly that. 'That' being, after the town).

WAIT YOU SAID IT'S A HOUSE MADE UP OF THIS SORT OF MATERIAL. DOES THAT MEAN IT'S MADE OF THAT MATERIAL OR IS IT SOMETHING ELSE?

My parents are slightly lunatic when they do not have completely exact directions to something (though they refused to use the directions I'd printed out for them, too, so I don't really know what they're really on about. Possibly they are just, you know, completely mad).

AND THEN WE SPENT A FUN TIME ANNOYING ANIKO. And watching her bird do flips and possibly a lot of time mocking and taunting said bird by not even coming quite close enough for it to bite us. (It is carnivorous, apparently.) There was a hilarious bit where my dog (who'd been brought along, I don't know why) approached the cage and he and the bird had kind of a face off. He's come close, the bird'd go for his nose, and he'd back off, but then he'd walk up again. I wish I'd caught it on camera.

Then we got back in the car and drove for the coast to find Mom her lobster. WE HAD LOBSTER. IT WAS... LOBSTERY. And then, since my parents are TOO COOL to find a motel that allows pets beforehand, we started driving with the intention of either finding one or going all the way back home. SO YES. We got back around 2 am this morning. wtfparents.

Here are most of the few photos I did take (since most of the day I was driving, there are none from the trip to ME, and none from hanging around bothering Aniko, and then none from the drive home because we left at like 9 at night and it's, you know, dark at that time). They are all from near where we ate, and are pretty much all of the ocean and/or the rocks leading down to it.
