D'you know what the unfortunate thing about taking a dancing class is?

Class gets out and you've been dancing for three hours so you're exhausted, and then you sleep through Anatomy and Physiology. And then you sleep in the car on the way home (by the way, you're the driver). And then you sleep in your food and get sauce in your hair, but that's not so bad, because you have to shower anyway, since you're coated in sweat.

Though your mother worries you'll drown, sleeping in the water like that.


...Actually, thankfully, no, mostly you're just really tired.


ALSO, UNLIKE LAST YEAR, MONDAY NIGHTS ARE TOO BUSY, SO NO ONE TALK TO ME ABOUT THE HEROES PREMIER BECAUSE I HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET. (... does anyone reading this actually watch Heroes? Possibly this is an unnecessary comment.)


Since I think I broke the Post Office (rather, the post office broke my wallet, but surely that's good enough?), I think I'm going to try to start writing letters again. SHUT UP. I LIKE WRITING LETTERS ALMOST AS MUCH AS I LIKE GETTING THEM. It makes me sad when I cannot send them! Got a couple I'm gonna resend for the third+ time (and a couple just disappeared. Poor things. Lost in the postal abyss)... and then I'll probably try to write new stuff. (Don't worry. If you haven't said you want me to mail you random things, I won't.)


(By, "I'm going to try to start writing letters again" I mostly mean, I'm going to pretend to be fictional characters and they'll either drag you on a crazy adventure or just write you a letter. REQUESTS?)

So I just misread 'SCORPION HARNESS' as 'SCORPION HARKNESS'.

Getting turned into a scorpion is exactly the sort of thing that would happen to Jack, I'm sure.

They're calling it Jazz dance, but I'm beginning to think possibly "jazz" just means "whatever the heck we feel like today" because we have four dances we're working on for our 'show' in December, and they're all different. Hip-hop, Latin, swing, and tap. It is a lot of fun! It is very exhausting! Also, we have to choreograph our own dance, and I'm failing pretty spectacularly at that, but, well. Physical spontaneity and I are like... no. I'm not very good at it. BUT IT IS STILL FUN.


AHAHA oh man I forgot. I knew I was going to! I think I even wrote that I suspected I would forget! I started one! And now I will find it again and finish it. I think it is in my A&P notebook... *hunts*

Ohhh, that's so awesome! I'd love to take a dance class but I am way too unfit (and poor ad busy) right now. But I'm definitely going to once I'm done with school. It sounds really fun! I think it's really cool and admirable that you're doing it.

I'm actually taking it through my school. I needed another class to be full time, and they didn't have anything I needed to graduate that I wasn't already in (or done with), so, I dunno. My brain was taken over by someone who decided dance would be fun? The cool thing is that, while it is completely exhausting, you only start to feel really tired after the class is over. But yeah! If you have time and money, and maybe if your school offers one, too, I dunno (and since it's an intro class, at least half of us are really out of shape, self included), you should try one!

I really think I will try one out once I'm out of school and have a job. Knowing you're doing it and having fun is really encouraging!
