y'all I took a week off work and I did not REALISE how badly I needed that, but also I probably actually needed two weeks. Tragically: staffing. BUT IT WAS A VERY GOOD WEEK OFF. I: broke my sleep schedule entirely!; napped so, so much; brushed the cat; brushed the cat; brushed the cat; oh my god how does she still want more brushing; malibu pls; played a lot of Horizon: Zero Dawn AND FINISHED THE GAME; took mom to see Thor 4 (A+); did not fold my laundry whoops; brushed the cat; AND got caught up in FFXIV, just last night, just barely in time for the big patch this evening/tomorrow.
Speaking of Horizon: Zero Dawn, how are so many of the male characters in that game so wholly oblivious to Aloy's obvious gay energy. Guys, she's just not that into you. It was a very good game! Very pretty, combat was fun once I got the hang of it and started using weapons other than "normal bow and arrow." The story was good, too, though perhaps a little optimistic (a post-apocalyptic game as optimistic?? Well, the apocalypse didn't happen until the 2060s, and they talk about all the changes humanity made to try to deal with climate change before then, so, uh. Yeah. Optimistic. sob). There's a couple jokes I wanna make but they're related to some FFXIV spoilers so I have and will continue to refrain from doing so. Looking forward to playing the sequel eventually, though I wanna do Stray next. CAT GAME CAT GAME CAT GAME CAT GAME
anyway i just spent the like 7 minutes tag-teaming the cat with my roommate because "pinning the cat" and "removing the stuck poo from the cat's butt" is really a two-person job (yes ofc i did the poo clean-up, she's my cat), how are your mornings going?
