Lack of updates. Here's some more FFXIII-2. I ... I think I'm right before the final boss, but I haven't actually gone ahead to find out for sure or not. This is not quite up to where I am. But at this point I'm mostly skipping around finishing off quests and hunting items and stuff, so it doesn't really matter.
This picks up at Augusta Tower 200 AF and runs up to Academia 500 AF.
All right, listen, game. I loved your predecessor. FFXIII? Loved it. ADORED IT. It was not prefect, no, but the characters were so goddamn fantastic that I did not even care about whatever flaws there were (though, really, a lot of the things people complained about were not things that really bothered me too much, anyway).
But this time around… all these instances you could have Serah and Noel interacting as people, you are just having them rehash plot points. AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. It is making me really, really sad! :(
I mean, I was freakishly glad to see Snow, not because he was my favourite – because he wasn't (not that I disliked Snow, though he was definitely one of my least favourites of the main cast) – but because he said things that were not necessarily 100% plot / rehashing related. He also inspired them from others! STUPID COMMENTS, WHOO!
So, come on, throw me a bone, here! Give me character interaction that builds character, not more plot regurgitation!

Um, anyway, I guess I really must be grossly overleveled, because I'm probably not really supposed to have any mastered roles yet, huh? AND YET. Both of them just finished one off. (RAV for Serah and COM for Noel. NEXT: MEDIC AND SENTINEL. Since, uh, now that I actually stop and look, they are pretty close, themselves…) (Those two are in their 80s, and then SAB and SYN are about 60, so, er.) (Or am just I close to the end of the game? I CAN'T TELL)
… whatever, it makes up for the fact that my poor animal friends haven't progressed at all in ages, since I can't find any level 4 materials for them. :< NO NEW SKILLS MAKES WOOF SAD.
