These people don't realise the freezer freezes, either.
Customers are idiots. This is not news. A man watched as the oven went off and I, wearing oven mitts, opened it up (he was close enough to the counter that he couldn't possibly have avoided being hit by the heat blast) and removed the baking rack. I closed the door, pushed the rack a safe distance away, and asked how I could help him. He wanted bread off the rack. He was baffled and annoyed when I told him it was too hot to package.
(The subject is another true story, with more repetitions than I like to think about. I have actually had to expand my offer to, "I can check if we have any in the freezer, but it will be frozen." Sometimes they are still surprised.)
30 Days of Video Games
Day 28 - Least favourite game
There have been plenty of games I haven't liked, and even a few I've declared unplayable and walked away from, and also it is really tempting to answer this question with Ecco just because SCREAMING AND VIOLENT RAGE, but instead, I am going to go with this:

See, first off, I don't really like Mario. I also am not a huge fan of fighting games, though, as Dissidia and a few others will attest to, I will still play them if people want to, or I find them entertaining enough, or if the characters are awesome enough. (hahaha back on the Genesis, after the system was old and off the market, my parents would pick up sets of games – which usually came with an additional system, we have at least four of the damn things now – at yard sales! And one such set came with some fighting games, so my brother and I would play them and race to see who could lose first. We'd race to the edge of the arena and fall off and all sorts of stupid things. It was pretty awesome fun.)
But Super Smash Bros. Melee… well. Maybe it could be fun for other people. I've only ever had miserably lousy experiences playing it, though. When you dislike or are mostly unfamiliar with the character cast, it is hard to pick a character to play as, for one. And then the times I've been roped into playing, I've always managed to have at least one fiercely competitive sore loser in the group. I've only ever won by accident, but the last time I played it (back in late 2004), after I somehow managed to actually kill someone else in a four-way free-for-all and thus won the round through some freak fluke, they went after me mercilessly the next few rounds (despite the other two people telling them to relax, already, until I said, 'hey, this sucks, I'm done, find someone else to play', and walked off) so literally all I could do was die. (Also, I was/am entirely unfamiliar with Nintendo's controller set-up, so I was just blindly button mashing trying to figure out what was what, half the time while confusing someone else playing the same character as me. Why am I jumping I thought this button did something else??) Basically, it sucked hardcore, and after that on top of so many other bad experiences with it, I have no problems declaring this my least favourite game.

Everyone is doing awesome stuff with their summer. I know someone who's going to Vietnam for a few months, I know someone who's going to the Amazon, I know someone who's going to Australia (as well as the person already in Australia), I know someone who's planning a month-long journey across the continental USA to visit friends (but not including me, 'cause I am too far from Boston and have no car)... Is it too late for me to reroll my summer to at least include other people...? Everything keeps falling through. I had some plans, too, for someone to come visit for a long weekend, but, surprise (no, not really, at this point), they had to cancel.
I mean, not that I am not excited about BotCon, and omg omg omg Chicagoooo, but, y'know. AND NOT THAT MONEY TROUBLES ARE NOT TOTALLY LEGIT BECAUSE I UNDERSTAND. But it makes me sad, anyway, and my paranoid brain is beginning to wonder if it is some bizarre conspiracy (I should very much like to be able to drop-kick my brain sometimes).
Basically I am sore and whiny 'cause, wah, yet another attempt at hanging out with a friend I never get to see anymore just withered and died. Angst angst angst, no one talks to me, my life are hard, angst.
