A bug flew up my nose. It must be spring!
Today is Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's and I have had delicious ice cream for free! (The only thing better than delicious ice cream is free delicious ice cream. This is a proven fact.)
I also walked over to where my mom works because the river there is running super fast and high (neither of us have ever seen it like that) and she wanted me to take pictures of it. (I teased her about that, since every year she says she wants to take her camera and, every day she works, take a picture of the river to track its changes over the course of the season, and every year, no matter how many times I remind her, she never actually does it.)

Day 03 - A game that is underrated.
OH MAN I CAN'T PICK JUST ONE. FFXI got a lot of crap because it was the MMO and so "didn't count", and "lol monthly fee", and … all sorts of stuff, according to a lot of people, but it does really well despite that, and, really, it's mostly died off now that they have FFXIV to make fun of (… which is, in no way, meant to imply that XIV does not deserve a fair amount of the criticism, but as much as I point and laugh, I do also respect the work SE is putting into it. But it does still need a whole lot more). Crisis Core seems to get an awful lot of hate, too (and I'll admit, some of the plot was a bit "what the hell?" but it's still such a wonderful, wonderful game). I guess a lot of people really hate Genesis! (Whoops, I didn't get that memo.) NO ONE HAS EVER EVEN PLAYED ECCO AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS AWESOME AND BIZARRE AND TERRIFYING andalsorageinducing AT TIMES.
… in fact, yeah. I could pick something better, or prettier, or … anything, but. Ecco! Oh, sure, they haven't done anything notable, and playing any of the games probably won't change your life, but … that stupid little dolphin was such a part of my childhood, and I love him! And the games are so pretty (and fairly unique, at that), but it seems no one has ever played them, and no one even cares to. (Which is ridiculous, if you ask me. The games are available on several systems at this point – the PS2, the PSP, and the Wii have both games, and the first one is available for the GBA and the XBox – and an emulator could run both of them right on your computer… The Dreamcast one is admittedly a bit harder to come by, being available only on a dead system and the PS2.)
PICS NOW YAY (I thought about including images of the bad guys, but that would ruin the fun of discovering them for yourself!)

BONUS ROUND:
Mostly I just wanted to spam Ecco (though I do think the games are underrated)!
Another game that deserves a hell of a lot more love and attention than it gets is Chrono Cross! Which didn't even see global release, because PEOPLE ARE STUPID! It's sort of a sequel to Chrono Trigger, I guess, but I played Cross first and I didn't feel like I was really missing too much (and er I haven't got to Chrono Trigger yet, shut up, it's in the plans)? Though some people don't like it as a sequel 'cause of some stuff that happens near the end of the game, which I can understand. And it has some weak points (the cast is huge so most characters don't get a lot of major development), but the story is pretty good and it's fun to play.
I will just leave you with the opening movie (WHICH FEATURES ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING SONGS EVER).
NOW TO THE STORE TO BUY GROCERIES SO I CAN MAKE REAL FOOD FOR DINNER.

HEY TRANSFORMERS TOY-PEOPLE you probably already know, but maybe not! A bunch of the Reveal the Shield and Generations figures are back in stock on Hasbro's site and have been that way for a few hours now! If you need Wheeljack, Scourge, Kup, or, uh... others (but not Windcharger, sadly ... well, now you all know which four I've been after I'd pick up Thundercracker, too, if I had the money...) and have been stressing over how hard it is to find these guys, go check it out! (Though note that the estimated shipping date is a ways off.)
