This really happened.
Walking past City Hall Park this afternoon, I was accosted by a man with no shoes and the most epic dreadlocks imaginable who asked me for 73 cents so he could fix the flux capacitor of his DeLorean.
Then he and his girlfriend - who was also barefoot and wearing a bandana for a shirt - skipped away down the streets, saying it was easy, and that he could feed me better than some "crappy takeout" (I was holding a box with leftovers from lunch at my cousin's restaurant).
...Now, I've not actually seen Back to the Future, so maybe the skipping thing is also a reference (I am skeptical), but mostly I walked away mostly thinking that Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day wasn't until later in the year and wondering just how high the pair of them were.
