Top Gear! Joy! I haven't watched any of it yet, so I can't speak for the quality, but there it is.

Jeremy Clarkson is about to leave when Mirage decides he hates the man and cannot take any more if any of it. He shuts down his own engine, overrides all attempts made to force him to start up again, and refuses to move. Bad enough to be thought of as property, but to have been put on display, and in such a fashion? He wasn't going to take any more. He does allow them to push him out of sight, once the group decides they can't "fix" him.
He is immediately sent to Ford and is forced to scramble his own systems so that they think something's actually wrong. While he's stuck in repair, he tries ceaselessly - and unsuccessfully - to reach his contact.
Much to his dismay, two days later Mirage finds himself back where he started. He sits in the dark, seething, until an idea occurs to him. He'd had several unnecessary systems installed, all of which he can tap into. Maybe, he thinks, maybe if he's annoying enough, no one will want to own him and he'll be free to go about his business.
Mirage wakes up everyone in the immediate area before allowing the alarm to be turned off.
He waits a short time, then turns it back on again.
When Jeremy Clarkson can't deal with the alarm any longer and tries to bring him back to Ford again to find the problem, Mirage finds a new game and convinces the tracking device installed that he's been stolen.
Ford only investigates the alarms system, so Mirage is free to report himself stolen as often as he pleases once he again finds himself under ownership of the ridiculous man. The distress he's obviously causing the human bothers him a bit, but he tells himself that it isn't exactly as though he's lying. He has been stolen, in a way.
Mirage is sent to Ford for repairs again, and privately declares war.

Working on this is making my want both my Cyclonus (plot) bunny pun icon back and Mirage icons. Maybe it is time to get a paid account.
Good, acceptable, "Jecca, you need to fall off the face of the Earth and die"? I have no idea. Please point out any stupid mistakes I have made.
