I haven't freed him from his plastic prison yet, as I have to leave for work in a few very short minutes and have only just pulled him out of the box and bubble-wrap and crumpled newspaper he came in.
He does not have stripes like a real Ford GT would, but I really, really do not care.
Alternators Rodimus is gorgeous.
Edit:
All right! He is beautiful out of the packaging, as well, though there was never really any doubt there. His license plate says, "TOO HOT," which is delightfully amusing, even if it does ring more to Hot Rod than Rodimus. Ah, well. They're essentially the same guy, anyway.
He does not have the twin white stripes that are customary to real Ford GTs, as I mentioned above, but the flames really are brilliant. The top is a bit boring, I suppose, just red, but it's a lovely shade of red and I cannot bring myself to be upset in any way.
They appear to have fixed the flaw Mirage has, where his torso plate won't stay in place properly. So now I love this mold even more than I used to, which is actually kind of frightening. Ford GT Alternators are delightful, wonderful things. Everyone should own one. Or more.
Also! His visor-thing! You can move it, so it is either hiding up out of sight or down over his optics. This is wonderful! It is the best toy ever and I love it.
On a completely unrelated note, I may find myself out in Southern California in mid-November, assuming I can afford to fly out there. Aneheim, to be precise, which is right where Disneyland is. If I do end up going, I want to try and go there. I've been to Disneyworld, but everyone who has been to both parks says that Disneyland is the true Magic Kingdom, whereas Disneyworld is "only" a theme park.
