Come on. I know Spark seems like a weird name to have, considering the whole 'life force' thing, but do keep in mind "spark" has other meanings and, perhaps more importantly, that sparks didn't exist in canon until Beast Wars retconned them into existence in 1996. (That said, if you're just having fun with it, knock yourselves out.)



I am ridiculously glad the BotCon set is G2-themed and hope it continues to include characters I don't especially care about in paint schemes I find hilariously painful. ... OKAY SO THAT SECOND PART IS KIND OF A GIVEN. Still.

I totally agree. Mind, I wasn't planning on attending anyways (Florida in July? No thanks, I'd rather not melt), but I was debating on getting the toys. Now that I know it's G2 themed, I can save that money for something else.

I've never been big on day-glo colours and you can be sure that all the rest of the toys will look like fluorescent Lego Tonka Toys. I won't say that G2 ruined the franchise forever, but I can happily pretend that it never happened.

Yeah... I'm hoping to go, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to die while I'm down there. (I apparently cannot bring myself to say "no" to Transformers and Disney in one spot. I am secretly five years old at heart?) If I do go and do get the Primus package, I'm going to just get rid of it, hopefully at the convention.

(Of course G2 ruined it forever! THEY NAMED SOMEONE AFTER THEIR SOULS COME ON HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT.) Erm, yes. I have nothing against the characters or the story, but I just have no desire to own anything that makes my eyes hurt to look at. I'm glad lots of other people seem to be happy about it, at least!

So just checking wasn't that character named before sparks existed really? I didn't click on all the links cause I fear the pain. But yeah can't we retcon him into nonexistence? Or better yet take it that he is also known as "soul" thats is guys really 9_9

BTW For me TF begins and End with the Beast Wars/Beast Machines ere, series, time of awesome? Maybe thats odd but yea 6_6

Yeah, Sparks is older than sparks. He was first released as Pyro in ... 1993, looks like, but underwent a rename to Sparks for G2 in... 1994. IE, pre-Beast Wars. (It's, far as I can tell, sort of like the Bluestreak / Silverstreak thing. They call him Silverstreak on the toys now because they don't own "Bluestreak", but for other stuff, like the comics, he's still Bluestreak. ... Now just replace Silverstreak with Sparks and Bluestreak with Pyro.)


That is a good era to love! BUT G1 IS SO RIDICULOUSLY, STUPIDLY AWESOME and technically the same continuity family... SOME DAY I WILL GET YOU. And Animated is awesome in a "not stupidly ridiculous" way! AND - I'll stop now.
