VANA'DIEL CENSUS WHEE
9th edition!
Yes, yes, the game is only seven years old. THEY CAN HAVE HAD NINE CENSUSES ALREADY IF THEY WANT TO.
Why does what information they gather change every year? I can understand adding more, but at this point it feels almost random. Where is racial distribution? Facial distribution? Those were so interesting! (Here is the 8th census, just so you can see how much they've cut out and what they've added. Actually, by just changing the 08 or 09 in the address, you can go back as far as the fifth - 05, 06, 07, 08, 09 - though before that the information's gone. I went looking for it once, but never managed to turn up the complete forms.)
They did things a little differently this year, too. There was a pre-census survey that you could fill out, and most of the census this time around is just the answers to those questions, which is kind of lame, really.
I like how they conclude that, because most people spend most of their time leveling, leveling is the most popular activity and we all like it, instead of the probably more accurate reasoning that it's just a grind-heavy game and we have to level to be able to do the majority of it, and leveling takes for ever so of course it takes us longer to level than do anything else.
MAN, I hate leveling. It's boring. Or it usually is. Merit party mentality = the most boring thing in the world. KILL AND KILL AND KILL AND KILL AND KILL AND KILL AND KILL AND KILLANDKILLANDKILLKILLKILLKILLKILSEFKJUILKRJHTILKIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL DON'T TALK TO ME I'M BUSY KILLING SHIT WHY AREN'T YOU KILLING SHIT KILL SHIT FASTER KILL IT NOW!!!!1!1!Q!QWq!wergt
And people wonder how I've played since NA launch and not made it to 75 yet.
The unused and most popular Linkshell colours bit was pretty neat. And, yeah, I think I spotted pretty much every Linkshell I've ever had in the top ten. JP is a little off, but it's still pretty close. Also, the inclusion of how people spend their Merit Points is kinda cool, too, I guess.
ONLY 0.44% OF PEOPLE HAVE THEIR MAIN JOB THE SAME LEVEL AS MEEEE.
THAT IS LESS THAN THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO PLAY CORSAIR. (0.92%, which is just sad.) COR's pretty awesome! Has THF come up in popularity (Or, you know, have mnk and warrior gone down? MORE LIKE THAT)? YES. From sixth last year to fourth. Dang it, no wonder I can never find a party on the odd instances that I actually want one.
Listed my Behemoth Hide. If it sells, I will have gil, which'll be a nice change of pace. I won't be super rich or anything, but I won't be completely broke like I have been for the last...
um. The last while, anyway.
Of course, then I will buy new gear and be broke again, but at least I won't be horribly gimpy like I am now. FAIL!THF: NOW WITH SLIGHTLY LESS FAIL.
