CHOCOBO!
I have my very own chocobo egg! I am going to hand it off to the San d'Orian stables guy in a day or two and start raising it! For now it is safe and warm in my Mog House. My Moogle is looking after it. (Hisime's Moogle is competent. She's never had the dead or wormy plant problems that Ayarei and especially Kihara have suffered.)
First, however, I am reading up on chocobo raising. There is a lot to read. And I want to make sure I get it right! I don't want to make my chocobo hate me! Or hurt it or make it stupid or weak or something! Maybe I will try to get a colored one. Probably I will not care. Yellow, green, blue, or black? DOESN'T MATTER, IT IS MY 'BO.
Also, they fixed the coma-chocobo thing. They added an item that will force your chocobo awake, so now you can tell your baby chocobo to rest and not have to worry about it GOING INTO A COMA. (I have gone on about coma-bos before, somewhere in here, so if that whole rant seems familiar, there's why.)
And I want to determine what I'll name it before I get to that part, so I pull up the list of possible chocobo names (you pick two off a list. You can't just enter your own). THIS IS AN UNHOLY AMOUNT OF NAMES. How am I supposed to be able to pick the right name?! There are too many!
Eek.
(My brother named his DesertFlare, which I think is a decent enough name for a chocobo!)

Anyway, I apologize in advance, because I an quite sure I will talk about nothing other than AND TODAY MY CHOCOBO EGG/CHICOBO/CHOCOBO as soon as I start raising it.
Of course, as I said, I need to come up with a name first, so it may be a little while.

Haha, my brother is randomly selecting name options and throwing them at me. So far we have:
Pretty Flood, Obsidian Destruction, Velvet Stardust, Warrior Princess, Final Flight, Stylish Stream, and Spring Torpedo. Super Fatty. Wing Zero. Storm Trooper.
Spring Torpedo would be a green chocobo. There's no other way for that name. Why is "Fatty" a name option?
