No, it really doesn't. (But ineptmagicuser is the one shouting it, anyway, so my not being British is, for once, entirely irrelevant.)


Though "aubergine" might make more sense as a name, because, really, "eggplant"? It's not a plant that produces eggs, and the things aren't, from my unfortunately numerous experiences with them, even remotely eggshaped.
