I just finished the first one! I actually enjoyed it a good amount but also holy previous final fantasies, batman, hahaha.

The SUDDENLY SIDEQUESTS bit was honestly sooo weird though I guess maybe this was in response to FFXV having exactly nothing for the entire second half of the game. I'd rather too many than the STEAMROLLER TO OBLIVION that they tried to put Noct on.
I have decided that unless I see them get like. Actually eviscerated (or fully petrified) on screen. That they don't actually die. Considering how many times we've seen Joshua and Dion both die and get better in this game. I'd've sworn up and down Dion was dead after we fought him. IDK. BIG SHRUG. I HAVEN'T ACTUALLY DONE IT YET SO IDKKKKKK
