jecca_mehlota: (Just say no.)

Well, THIS is horrifyingly familiar.

I beat the main scenario of Dissidia 012 and unlocked Prishe! There is, apparently, more story, but to access it, I think I need to replay the first game (certainly the Destiny Odysseys AKA CRYSTAL HUNTING TIME, but probably the rest of it's on there, too...), which was stuck in this one but which I was not allowed to import my progress / completion of.

......... HAHAHAHAHA *throws PSP*

Whatever, at least the battle arena is fun (and the Empyreal Paradox is a stage! I had no idea! FAVOURITE NEW AREA). And it's not like the battle system reverts to the first game's, and there is still a world map and all the other neat new things. I'll probably blow through it eventually, once I decide I don't care about KP and just leave all my characters at their current levels, rather than dumbing them down (level 3 Cloud versus level 14 boss = annoying, but I'd take a -31 KP hit if I didn't drop him a bit. Except, would it actually subtract from my current tally? I should find out, and if the answer is no - or, hell, I can always regain it in the main scenario - I will just say TO HELL WITH IT and destroy everything).

30 Days of Video Games

Day 20 - Favourite genre.

RPG RPG RPG (mostly JRPG, if we want to get specific), with platformers as a very, very close second. Possibly they are tied, because damn, do I love me some platformers.

…SHORT DAY.

BONUS ROUNDS:

Least favourite is probably sports (though I've never actually played a sports game, because they look that boring to me!).

Aaand I kind of wish I were better at first-person games (usually shooters and the like), because I know there are some amazing games (for example, I would like to actually successfully play Bioshock, rather than just watch someone else play it for me) (damn it, I tried) out there, and I just suck at the controls too much. First-person viewpoint just screws me up too much for some reason. (So it's really funny that I spend a fair portion of my time running around FFXI in first-person camera. …except as soon as I stop running to do something, zoom, back to default camera.) I want to play them, and I want to see the stories, but I am just no good.

Found out today that Supernatural's been renewed again, so we're getting a seventh season. Gah. I was ready for it to end last season (not because I dislike it, I mean, just... sometimes stories need to end), and this season is kinda... ugh. I mean, as I was waiting for 9 to roll around, I was sitting there wondering why I bother watching. I (usually) (mostly) enjoy the episodes (some of it feels awfully fanfic-y...), but I would like it to go away before it becomes unwatchable or anything (I mean, I know it is not really an example of good television, but I have at least mostly enjoyed it thus far). Also, I am not sure I like where they seem to be going with some plot elements, but it does seem they are at least still paying attention to things I was beginning to think they had just completely dropped for no damn reason at the halfway point. Reassuring!

Also, I don't know anyone who keeps up with watching it, and I always find having no one to go OMG (in delight, shock, horror, or anything else) with kind of detracts from my enjoyment of something, 'cause I am pathetic.

hahaha the smoke alarm just went off a bit ago. It doesn't like the oven, apparently! (The problem with having grown up in a house with twitchy smoke detectors is that now whenever one goes off, my initial reaction is to go find it and reset it, not to evacuate the building. Someday this may catch up with me...)
