DAY TWENTY THREE baby sitting

BIG DAY. Got my ankle dressing off! Apparently it looks good. (It looks icky, haha.) I can now start relearning to walk! My calf muscle has basically withered to nothing (POLIO VICTIM, to use my mother's words...), and I don't have a lot of flexibility, but, hey. Baby steps. I'm still using the crutches to hold a lot of my weight, but I can put the foot down! It feels so weird. And the nurse today watched me change my iv bag instead of doing it for me and apparently I did well with it, so that was encouraging. And! I haven't burst into tears today (yet). Still exhausted, though, and it's really awkward to sleep with this thing. On my right side, it hurts, and on my left side, I don't know, something feels really off. So I'm stuck on my back, which is not a position I find comfortable. waaah. And it wakes me up when it starts pumping in earnest. Is it February yet? I would like it to be February now. /THINGS JECCA NEVER THOUGHT SHE WOULD SAY

Back to the topics of the month, though. Today/last Tuesday is for musha168, who prompted thus: One of my plush troop has come to visit (pick one of them).... you must babysit him (or her) for a day. What do you do and where do you take him/her? And what will he(or she) see & experience? And please don't return this member to me completely traumatized O_o;
