I am borrowing internet and posting via my psp (which is a pain in the neck and the fingers), an have just been (slowly, painfully) checking the news at home. In case anyone who pays attention to these sorts of things was worried or wondering, I am fine. I mean, obviously I am fine, since I am not in Vermont right now, but my parents' house is fine (they didn't see much of the storm at all, according to my mother. Lots of wind, light rain all day, and a ten minute power outage), and my apartment in Burlington is also fine. Some downed trees in the area, but my roommate says we didn't even lose power.

The rest of the state, of course, is underwater, and I'm not sure how well getting home is going to go, since the route home from Rochester (we're swinging through to visit my brother) is currently closed in several places with severe flooding and all sorts of fun stuff. Maybe it'll be in better shape by the time we get over there (haha).

So, yeah... it's a mess and there's probably more mess to come, but me and mine are okay, and Vermont is pretty good about not panicking and just getting on with things most of the time. (We kind of have to be, since the rest of the nation - and the world - generally pays us no mind at all. "Vermont? What state is that in?" Ugh. Unfortunately, this isn't even the first time we've had major flooding this year - though, yes, of course the spring flooding wasn't this bad.)
