This is officially my favourite screenshot from Final Fantasy XI EVER:
( Image! )
I was killed by my own party's White Mage! Nabiki: WORST WHM EVER.
In her defense, I was charmed by the Lamia and gave her permission to nuke my ears off, anyway. Actually, I actively sought to become charmed to allow her to hit me with her WHM-nukes. ...Of course, she'd been hitting both of us with spells while we were charmed before I told her to go ahead and kill me.
(There's no player-vs-player in FFXI except in special events that you have to pay for. Charm is one of the very, very few exceptions, and doesn't entirely count, as the charmed character has absolutely no control over their own actions. You can't even open your menu.)
Chatlog caps:
1 2 3 4 5 6
Edit:
Winamp always knows just what to say. I was just in another Besieged, but this time they beat us (I've never seen us lose, so that was actually a bit exciting. I was right next to the one who swiped it but couldn't manage to target him to attack, ugh. I saw it go). As an army of Adventurers stares in numb defeat at the empty Astral Pillar, Cybertron, from the 2007 Transformers movie, comes up. It's a piece with a bit of a mournful sound to it. Empty. Dead. (But still very pretty.) It sounded about right.
So then I started laughing.
