This is one of those things that I'd love to take to a forum and see people's answers for it, but can't because the one forum I worked myself up into delurking at promptly blocked itself from my internet somehow... I can still load the Cell when I've checked the one or two times from school, but I don't trust those computers enough to enter my passwords for anything.
Anyway, it's begun to strike me as a little weird. In Transformers fanfic, except in the instances of the more readily accepted canon pairings - Optimus and Elita, and Ironhide and Chromia (which the world needs more of), and, okay, they're not canon, but Starscream and Skyfire and/or Megatron, and Skywarp and Thundercracker - the two in question almost always get together on Earth.
Which, on one level, does make its own sense. That's when the series takes place. If you write it that none of the Autobots or Decepticons knew each other prior to the ship launches, fine, that's fine. But why don't we ever see any of these taking place prior to Ark Launch?
Maybe the dynamic of the war changed. (Actually, it had to have, didn't it? The Autobots were, from what I've figured, losing badly on Cybertron, but then once everyone arrived on Earth, they never really lost.)
I mean, the vast majority of the time, you only know it's on Earth because they toss out one unnecessary line or another relating to humans or the planet or something. Why it is always on Earth? It just strikes me as a little strange.
