There's something very strange about our Toyota Echo. I don't really like driving it. Not because I dislike the car itself - it's a nice car, great radio and transmission... The seats make my neck act up, and honestly, having had to go to the chiropractor's for it once already's plenty. I'm still young! I'm not supposed to be having these problems! Stupid whiplash. Anyway. The car.
Neck-hurting seats aside, I really don't mind driving it, except... I've noticed...
Whenever I get in that car... I get kind of crazy. I set the radio loud(ish - it still doesn't shake the windows anywhere). I find myself going five, ten, more, miles faster than the speed limit without realizing it. I push through orange/yellow lights. ...I start wanting to run down the other drivers on the road and the pedestrians. Not just the people in front of me, either. I get annoyed at the people in the other lane, going the other way.
I caught myself snarling at someone today because they were going thirty in a twenty-five zone. I was on my way home and in no rush.
Then I was glaring at the van in front of me because... it was a van. That was seriously the only reason.
This doesn't happen in the Honda or the van! I don't hate the other drivers! I want them to stay out of my bubble, but beyond that, whatever! I don't want to run people over and I don't like going fast! I swear I'm not crazy! ...or dangerous. I've never actually done anything other than mutter to myself about how I hate everyone else on the road because they are all slow and stupid.
Obviously, the Toyota is secretly a Decepticon and is influencing me.
(You'd think it'd be the Honda, seeing as how Alt. Rumble - who's a 'Con - is a ... red Honda Civic, which is what we own. Well, different model. But still.)
In entirely unrelated news, today I was mute because my vocal chords decided it would be a good time to go on vacation. I had to participate in a group presentation in class.
That was ...different.
Also. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End trailer is online. Yay! Oh, pretty. I can't wait!
