That's productive.

I have been spending my afternoons marathoning Doctor Who. I do not know why, but four, maybe five days ago I started in with series one (of the reboot, I mean) and now I'm almost finished with three. (Actually, I feel a bit bad, because I'm kind of glad this one's almost done. I adore Martha as an individual, but I don't like her much at all as a companion, for as much sense as that may make.) (... There are a lot more two-parters than I remember.) (AUGH BLINK)

Really, self, what?

So not only am I behaving oddly in that I am watching loads of episodes all in a row, it's of a show I've already seen and is not one that, aside from greatly enjoying, I've ever given much in the way of obsessing to. Next you know I'll be looking for fanfiction.

I hope my voice and hearing and balance are all back by the time I run out, because then what? Though I do at least have shows I haven't watched yet. (So, uh, why aren't you just watching those now? I don't know! Because for whatever reason I'm marathoning Doctor Who! Didn't we already have this conversation?)

On a completely unrelated note, did LJ tweak their look a bit, or has my browser simply lost its mind? When I click to view entries, for example, the top of the entry - date, time, name, user pic - is buried somewhere under the LJ menu-bar thing. Looks like this, to use this previous entry as an example.

Utenaaaaa. Oh man, I really want to rewatch ST:TNG, but I'm broke, and have this whole conflict about ordering a Netflix before I actually, er, watched all of the DVDs that I own. How much have Buffy have you seen? Because if you have to work to find anything past the fourth season, it may not be worh it. (Though the fifth season does have one of my favourite episodes of all time.) I am really wanting to rewatch Trigun lately, but I should probably finish Cowboy Bebop first, and yes! I also have a mountain of video games.
Have you read the FMA manga at all? Because while I'm enjoying watching the manga scenes all animated and whatnot, it's full of spoilers and the manga is way better.

For Buffy, I've only seen through the second season, though I've also seen one or two random other episodes from later seasons at the insistence of others. Seasons 1-3 are on Hulu (hey, 3 wasn't there last time I looked! Cool), so maybe they'll add more again. (HOW DO VIDEO GAMES PILE UP LIKE THAT?)

I have not read the manga. I loved the original anime and everyone says the manga is better, but I ... have not. It may be a lame excuse, but I don't want to have to keep paying for it because I can't afford the really long stories (Fruits Basket just ended and while I'm a bit sad, I am also relieved, since augh manga costs too much), and the libraries don't carry it. But that is good to consider! Because one day I will eventually get my hands on it!

Oh! Is Fruits Basket good? Should I check it out? And man,I know what you mean about funding a manga habit. The only reason I've actually read FMA is because they have it at the library! Have you tried that? I wish there was such a thing as Netflix for books. Where the had a huge selection and got delivered right to your door.

My mother and I both really enjoyed it! I'd say definitely check out the first volume or two, if you can. And, hey, since it's finished now, you wouldn't need to wonder how long you'll be waiting for the next volume to come out (I always hate that part). The library I checked didn't carry manga (LAME LAME LAME) but maybe the other one does. I haven't found myself over there yet, though. Hopefully it will?

That would be amazing. You'd probably have to use those weird digital-things, though, because otherwise people'd beat the poor books to a pulp. Torn or even missing covers and pages, augh.

(ALSO I FORGOT TO MENTION but [livejournal.com profile] rionaleonhart's recommendation is pretty excellent. THE MASTER AND DONNA ARE TOO AWESOME TO NOT BE SEEN.)

Awesome, I will see if they have it next time I'm at the library!

(Haha, good to get a second opinion on that! Thank you!)

Whoo \o/ I'd say let me know what you think of it, if they do have it, but that might be a bit hypocritical considering my bizarre silence over the last couple things I've watched/read/played/etc. Er. I HOPE YOU LIKE IT? IF THEY HAVE IT?
