Four+ years later...

I finally "beat" Final Fantasy XI the night before last! With help, of course. And I've only been playing for, you know, four years. And this doesn't include any of the material from the expansion packs. And it only includes one city. I haven't touched the Windurst or Bastok stories.

But! I reached level 50 (the original level cap) and defeated the Shadow Lord (the original "end" boss)!


Last night we (nearly) finished Rank 6. Only nearly because we needed to wait for the server reset that comes at (Japanese) midnight for the book we had to find for the second mission to be translated. I'm at Rank 7 now. :3

Heh. I've been at Rank 5 for two years or so now, and then in two days I jump up two levels. We might be doing the Rank 7 missions tonight, too, which'd put me at Rank 8. \o.o/

My brother, who was essentially the same Rank as me (we were both 5, but he'd done the first mission and I hadn't) found a Mission Static while I was in CA. He's currently on Mission 9-2, which is the last one. He may be doing that tonight, which means he'll hit Rank 10! Top Rank! Hooray for him! I hope they do finish.


Also, the Christmas Starlight Festival is supposed to start sometime today. So excited!


Now the question is, though, what do I do now that I've "beaten" FFXI?


Hisi:
- level Thief! To 75 eventually. ~ well, I've reached 58, anyway...
- obtain level cap breaking items and finish quests ~ only one more to do!
- first lvl Ninja to 37 and then disown it for ever
- lvl Monk to at least 20 - chocobos, sub
- lvl Warrior to 37
- lvl Red Mage from 1 to 25 for "Sneak" and "Invisible" (and ability to PL Nabi, apparently)
- or lvl White Mage to the same. ~ started!
- lvl Black Mage to 17 for sub and "Warp"
- lvl Summoner to 20 for summons.
- unlock Paladin (2/3)
- unlock Dragoon (started)
- unlock Scholar
- unlock Puppetmaster (started)
- unlock Blue Mage (2/3)
- unlock Corsair (started)
- lvl Dancer for fun at some point ~ started!
- Rank up to 10!
- start and finish Zilart ~ started!
- finish Promathia
- start ToAU
- and then finish it.
- finish Bastok for WotG and wait for new content
- quests, esp. Lastok (fame... so.... low....)
- make gil for gear ~ ongoing!
- gobbie bag quests
- Mog House inventory quest

~~ checking in nearly a year later (November 16^th)... I'm not nearly an unproductive as I like to imagine, apparently! Cool! And leveling DRK and DRG weren't even on here!

Aya:
- lvl mnk to 20
- lvl war to 30 (only 5 more levels x.x)
- unlock pld
- lvl war to 37
- lvl pld!

Ki:
- lvl mnk I am not leveling this a third time.
- lvl war Why do I only play melee jobs?
It is a good thing I do not mind Ki being ridiculously low-leveled for ever.
- rank up to 5 if possible (har, subless level 13 with an airship pass!)


And these don't include the festival events, which are, of course, required on all three of my girls.


Why do I do this to myself?

AN HOUR YESTERDAY. THEY COULDN'T EVEN WAIT HALF THAT TODAY FOR ME. WE WEREN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO START THIS EARLY.

Emo-fits aside, I'm still getting it done, because they are still nice people. Rank 8, here I come. /o.o/

I just still have a hard time when people do things like that. I should try harder to get over it.
