It is Tuesday.
Went to the Pub Quiz thing again tonight with parents - I didn't go over most of the summer since chemistry was eating my brains out... anyway, the first round is a picture round, where you have to identify some specific thing about ten different pictures. One week it was video game characters, one week it was James Bond girls, one week it was mythological creatures... This week we had to identify ten different shows based off tiny (really, they're about the size of a LiveJournal icon) images. That theme's pretty common, actually, and I'm usually very bad at it since I watch very little television, and those things I do watch usually aren't, you know, well known at all.
BUT IMAGE TEN? TOP GEAR. And, surprisingly, one of the random other people who joins our group some weeks knows Top Gear (though he didn't identify the image), so he and Mom and I were all excited about it at each other for a good, what, half hour or something.
Anyway, good to my own intentions, I finished getting up to date on Supernatural this afternoon...
For 'Time Is On My Side'.... I like how Dean drives from Pennsylvania to Canaan(, Vermont) and then back in, what, a day? (I dunno, I have no idea how long he was there, but going by what all Sam did while he was away, he couldn't have been away for more than a day or two?) Seriously, my family and I took a lot of car trips when I was young, but that is.... a lot of driving. THAT'S LIKE TEN HOURS EACH WAY. (Really, I've been able to easily ignore the insane driving and all. This is probably just because I've been from where I live through Pennsylvania, and that's a long drive... and Canaan is waaay off in the far north-east corner of the state... AND OKAY VERMONT IS A SMALL STATE BUT SHUT UP IT'S A LOT OF DISTANCE TO COVER IN WHAT APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME.)
And, man, I knew she was dead! Which, you know, is too bad, because I actually really liked Bela. YES, EVEN THOUGH SHE STEALS EVERYTHING FROM THEM. Why do they kill off the cast at the end of every season, anyway? (Bobby's the only one who's actually survived so far, isn't he? ... OH MAN I HOPE I DIDN'T JUST JINX HIM SOMEHOW.) Hell hounds. I hadn't guessed it would be hell hounds. Poor Bela. You should have said something.
And then I took a breather because we all knew how the last episode was going to go.
(I would like to say,
STOP SINGING.
OKAY SERIOUSLY. YOU ARE BOTH TONE DEAF OR SOMETHING.
THE CHRISTMAS EPISODE WAS BAD ENOUGH. COME ON.
- but we all know that was pretty much the best scene ever, so I guess I can forgive you.)
LILITH WAS SO DISTURBINGLY CREEPY. asjdhfjn, ghsdfn She was so disturbing when she took over Ruby's body, but the little girl form was just man, that was just not cool. DISTURBING. Also creeeeeepy.
AND THEN OH GOD. I nearly had to pause the DVD just because I really didn't want to watch the last ten-or-so minutes. BUT I DID. I was stuck between going, "oh man those blood fountains he's squirting out all over the place are kind of hilariously fake looking" (as is often my reaction in this show...*SPLURT!* I can't help it. Some sick part of me finds people suddenly spouting geysers of "blood" entertaining) and "AAAAAAAAAAUGH AUGH STOP IT NO AAAAAAUGH DEEAAAAN" and feeling so awful for Sam having to watch that and adshfkjlhkgkkfld.gl;hk...
And I'm glad Ruby may not actually be dead? I hope she isn't.
Saaaaaam. Deeeeeeeeeeeaaan. ;__________;
...and mostly I'm so, so glad that I got into this now when the new episodes start in, yeah, what, 48 hours? Instead of having to go through the whole summer. YOU POOR PEOPLE.
................. SO YES.
IT IS NOT THURSDAY YET. (And, really, I won't get to watch until Friday or so, since - haha, Dad hates the show and Mom's still back in Season 1. She said she could just watch anyway and catch up as it went along, apparently assuming they're still chasing their father or something? I told her that no, she... really, really couldn't.
Right, so, since I'm crazy and need text on either both sides of the cut or neither...
I leveled my Summoner to 15! So now I can teleport to the Avatar fights and sit idly while Aniko hammers them into oblivion. THEN I CAN HAS GIL. Or summons. (I already have a couple...) (You start with the atomic squirrel, who is pretty awesome.)
Edit:
OH CRUD HOUSE RESTARTED TONIGHT, DIDN'T IT? Oops. Um.
Hm.
