blah.

30 Days of Video Games

Day 13 - A game you've played more than five times.

Er. Lots. Wait, do you mean games I've played, games I've beaten, or games I've played through in their entirety, from start to finish? … I am going to assume it is that last one.

OH, BUT, WAIT I KNOW. Most (… probably all) of the games we owned for the Genesis would fit this Day, but the game I have played through (from start to finish!) the most is The Lion King on the Sega Genesis. Guys. It's short, and I got so good at that damn thing, I could beat it through from start to finish in 12 minutes, maybe less. When you are typically only allowed fifteen minutes a day to game, you learn to make the most of it.

YouTube, yo! I played it significantly faster, and more thoroughly (NOTHING ESCAPES), than this person does. (I'm really not kidding about that 12 minutes thing. Like I said above, my brother and I were only allowed 15 minutes each of Sega time most days, and I could play through the entire game with time to spare for the credits and such before the timer rang.)

Nothing to say here. Move along.

edit:
swear to god it's like they wait until I'm in a foul mood to pull this shit. Protip: just because I like Transformers doesn't mean I like bots. (I get a surprising number of hits from Russian journals, too. Mostly the same ones over and over. I just do not understand LJ sometimes.)

Ohhhhh LION KING!!! I played it on the SNES the Genesis AND on the Game Gear in Japanese! (don't ask me how a kmart in Puerto Rico got a Japanese used game.. or why they were selling used games in the first place....) But yes awesome game!!!

I played a bit of it on a Game Gear, but didn't much like it. Not sure if it was the system, the game, or both. haha, but, that is super weird. I remember the Game Gear and Genesis versions were both way different. Was the SNES version super different too?

Yea the game gear version wasn't that great... I mostly put up with it for the random moments of Timon speaking japanese XD

Yes the SNES version was different too. I actually preferred the sega genesis version except at the end. You know when you have to throw Scar off the side of the cliff. On the sega genesis you have to hit a button combination for that move but on the SNES you hit one button. Sooooo much easier. And that 3 button to 4 button thing makes a difference in other parts too.

Yeah, that part's a real pain. >< Though, if you could find a Genesis controller with the XYZ buttons, any one of those could be used as a one-button flip. But without it, ugh, damn near impossible sometimes..

Yeah I had the normal one so.. eh... lots of anger in that part. Was so happy for the SNES version although I did go back and beat it on the sega genesis. Damn flip >_

Yeaaaah. The best way then, I don't know if you ever discovered it (and not that it does any good now, haha), was to wear him down. If you slapped him enough times, he'd eventually just start panting, and while he could still pin and maul you, it was a little easier to back him up to an edge, turn him around, and then toss him.

Yeah I remember that. Still was a pain >_

Yep. :\
